The project is expected to run from 2013 until 2015, with some improvements made for the 2014 Commonwealth Games. A new glass frontage will be added to the station’s George Square entrance. Inside, the concourse will be extended, a new mezzanine level food court added, along with an atrium link to the Buchanan Galleries shopping centre. The Dundas Street and North Hanover Street entrances will also be redesigned and there will be a new entrance created from Cathedral Street.
